I am sort of starting a freelance writing career. I say ‘sort of’ because I sort of already started. And I also say ‘sort of’ because saying, ‘I’m starting a freelance career,’ sounds sort of cocky, which I am not–but which I should be. Not because I’m so amazing–but I sort of am–but because you need to be confident to make freelancing work. Because the whole thing with this is that you’re just constantly putting yourself out there and constantly getting rejected–at least I am–and you need to not take it personally and just keep going and present yourself like they want you. Like with an air of ‘you want to talk to me,’ but more ‘you want me to write for you.’ Not a question: ‘Do you want to talk to me?’ and certainly not ‘Do you want me to write for you?’ no. They do and they do. But that’s not so in tune with my humble nature. Or my clips.
